There are eighty contributing authors, including virtually all the leading authorities in this field of research—most of whom took an active part during the actual Voyager encounter. . . . Each section is skilfully written and contains a massive amount of information, with well chosen and well presented illustrations. The references are of special importance; it does not seem likely that any important paper dealing with Uranus has been left out....It is not likely to be superseded as the standard reference work until another spacecraft passes by Uranus.
This book is, and will continue to be, the primary source of information about the Uranus system at least to the turn of the millennium and probably longer.
