Marco G. Prouty is a career foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State. He has served as a vice-consul in the Dominican Republic and as a desk officer for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, and is presently assigned to Belize as chief of the embassy's Political and Economic Section.
