To remain alive, a church must exist within as well as without. The Papago Indians-the Desert People-and the Franciscan Guardians of their place of worship combine their resources here in communion of spirit. A young lady of the village, who has now come of age, celebrates her quinceñera, her fifteenth year of life, with her parents, godparents, priest, and friends.
