To publish a series of textbooks in Mexican American Studies that are written at a lower division level for university, college, community college, and high school (11th and 12th grade) classes. The series will comprise books written by a single author on topics appropriate to these courses. The proposed topic areas include history, health, popular culture, economics, anthropology, the environment, women's issues, education, literature, the indigenous question, and cinema. The books will be written in a style and format appropriate for lower division courses.
